A devastating book but beautifully written。 An important reminder of the impact from people having to suppress who they truly are due to societal norms， and the long lasting effects。 I sobbed。

3。5 stars “‘Can you share me？’‘If that’s what it takes。 Yes。’”I liked this is was good。 It was definitely sad。 But I just watched the movie before I read it and I think I like the movie more。 Let’s be honest it’s probably because Harry is in the movie， but the book and movie are both good。 The way the book is written is interesting。 Half of the book is journal entries from Patrick when he was younger。 The other half is a manuscript from Marion while they’re older。 I didn’t know this was based of 3。5 stars “‘Can you share me？’‘If that’s what it takes。 Yes。’”I liked this is was good。 It was definitely sad。 But I just watched the movie before I read it and I think I like the movie more。 Let’s be honest it’s probably because Harry is in the movie， but the book and movie are both good。 The way the book is written is interesting。 Half of the book is journal entries from Patrick when he was younger。 The other half is a manuscript from Marion while they’re older。 I didn’t know this was based off of a real story so that made it more sad。 But it was written well。 The movie is also pretty accurate。 The book is good and I don’t normally say I like movies more than books but the book was confusing with the time lines and stuff and it was easier to understand the movie for me。 But both were good。 Would recommend to a friend。 。。。more

This review has been hidden because it contains spoilers。 To view it， click here。 Tom is the villain。 No in all seriousness， this book has managed to destroy me （once again）。 the way it makes you feel sympathy for each character， even Marion， who i guess for romance lovers is the real villain。 Nonetheless on who is in the wrong i am obsessed with every aspect of this book and it deserves the 5/5。

If you can move past the hype of H Styles playing Tom in the movie， this book stands on its own as a poignant reminder of what life for closeted people was like before understanding and acceptance became more the societal norm。 Good character development， even if frustrating at times。 For example， Marion being rather oblivious to the reality despite even her best friend giving her clues。 Love is love for all of the characters， right to the end。

No sé qué pensar， en general， el libro tiene buena trama， toca temas muy importantes que hoy en la actualidad se siguen viviendo directamente en a comunidad LGBT， pero siento que le falto un poco。La narrativa también siento que es buena， ya que todo está contado desde dos perspectivas y enriquecen mucho la historia， pero siento que el final queda cortado muy de repente que te deja con ganas de mas。Tbh siento que lo que me afectó fue el gran hype （y no por la película）

Creo que esperaba más de la historia， tiene sentido con el final que tiene el por qué está contada así pero creo que como novela no fue la mejor idea esa estructura， la historia estuvo bien， pero me dejó ese sabor de que pudo ser mejor。
